Club Policies and Rules
FC Elmstead operates thanks to the dedication of volunteers who generously contribute their time and services to the club. It is our collective responsibility to uphold exemplary standards of behaviour within the game.
To ensure a positive environment, it is crucial for players, parents/carers, and spectators to lead by example and adhere to the following code of conduct during both training sessions and matches:
- Show respect towards the coaches and volunteers of the club, communicating with them in a manner befitting the situation.
- Avoid any form of discrimination or harassment based on race, gender, religion, nationality, or ability.
- Remain outside the playing area and stay behind the Designated Spectator Area, if provided.
- Never engage in or tolerate offensive, insulting, or abusive language or behaviour.
- Always respect the decisions made by the match officials.
- Appreciate and applaud the efforts, good play, and successes of all participants. Accept both victory and defeat gracefully.
Furthermore, when attending youth games, we expect the following:
- Remember that children participate in sports for enjoyment.
- Allow the coaches to carry out their responsibilities and avoid confusing the players by instructing them during the game.
- Encourage the players to demonstrate respect towards the opposing team and the match officials.
- Refrain from criticizing players for their mistakes, as mistakes are an integral part of the learning process.
- Failure to comply with the aforementioned guidelines may result in disciplinary actions taken by FC Elmstead, the league, or the County FA.
The coaches are open to discussing any concerns you may have, and we kindly request that you address them with your child’s coach in an appropriate manner and at an appropriate time.
Furthermore, we would like to emphasize the importance of promptly responding to coaches’ texts or emails regarding match fixtures. While we will do our best to assist with transportation in case of travel difficulties, we cannot guarantee availability at all times.
If you require any assistance, please make sure to contact your child’s coach with sufficient notice.
